Magnolia came to our herd as a gangly kid and freshened with a beautifully attached udder this year as a two-year old, although because this is her first full freshening and milking, her udder is slightly small. The attachment, however, shows much promise of a beautiful udder to come. She is bred to Iceberg Roister Sorley for May kids. Kids are $300.

When I first started out with Alpines, I didn't realize how lucky I was to have the two does that I had from Munchin'Hill and sold everything that I kidded out of them. I have always wanted to get another doe out of their line and when Krayola came available I thought that she was close to the Munchin'Hill line. I am very excited to have her in my herd. She is bred to *B Kara Kahl Seriously Golden (another herd that I admire) for April kids. Kids are $350.

My first introduction to the Hill n Holler herd was through a buck that I got from IR Ranch many years ago. The Hill n Holler herd has been around for many years. Their alpines are a medium sized goat but very correct in general appearance. Mimosa is a little bit smaller although she comes from a larger doe. She is a very open ribbed, level doe with a very high rear udder. Her fore udder is smooth just not real extended. She is bred to Roeburn’s Bruno Slate for February kids in hopes he will add some height and lengthen her neck. Kids are $300.

Latitude is out of Pleasant Grove’s lovely doe Rose Petal and even though she shows much of the same beauty as Rose Petal, she has this nose that seems a little bit larger than I would like to see on an Alpine. I am hoping that once she freshens, her udder will take all eyes away from her head and onto other more beautiful things. If she kids in February, she is bred to Roeburn’s KVLW Baxter and if she kids in March, she is bred to Roeburn’s Bruno Slate. Kids are $400.

Octavia is a beautiful kid and I am excited to have her join my herd. I had all but given up on raising Alpines but seeing this girl and having Magnolia, it igniting my interest in them again. Having seen both the sire and dam of this doe, I can only see great things happening. I am currently waiting to see if an AI to Shady Lawn Jasper Treason will work, if not, she will be bred to Sorley for mid-late May kids. Kids are $300.
