Phaedra is another older doe who has produced some
very lovely offspring and also has appraised well. She is retired
from the show ring but does not show any signs of letting up and
likes to prove that she can still be boss once in awhile. She has a

Katina, as a dry yearling, ended up being the reserve junior
champion at the nationals. She has matured into a wonderful doe. She
will no longer be shown since she has loose shoulder but she still
exhibits many qualities that makes her a beautiful doe in many ways.
Katrina gave us two does this year out
of Poptart. One has been sold and the other will be kept in the
herd.

Wow- where do I begin to describe this doe. Flavor
drives me absolutely nuts with her attitude when it comes to getting
into the barn, getting out of the pen and always finding a way to be
a pain. However, Flavor is a stunning Sausalito doe. Her udder is
well attached, she has a great depth of body, she stands on a strong
set of legs and just epitomizes what I like in a doe ( except maybe
the behaviors). I would like a taller doe but she is quite lovely.

Zlay is quite a goat. She would have been scored higher on her
Linear appraisal had she kidded more than once but since she had
not, she could only get an 89. This year I had high hopes of AI’ing
her but she had a mind of her own and decided to talk to the Alpine
buck and have a hot date with him. No amount of convincing could I
do to get her to give that kid up to have a Togg so once again, like
last year, she is bred to Peturb for March kids.
Zlay kidded with triplets, 2 bucks and
a doe. They have all been sold and Zlay is also for sale.

Pimpernel or “pimp” as my daughter affectionately

Last year as a yearling, she freshened with a nicely attached udder

Jeanra is the other young doe that we got out of Starbuck last
year but her mom was a young White Hawk doe that we had acquired a
few years ago. She, in her turn, is a deeper bodied doe but perhaps
not quite as diary as Phillipia. She is bred to Rogue who is also a
Starbuck son. This should be an interesting breeding.
Jenara gave birth to a single doe kid
out of Poptart. She, in her turn, has a well attached udder with
a smooth fore udder. It seems that Starbuck has added another
beautiful udder on a doe.

Phillipia is a breeding from Marshland Regal/J Starbuck. He has
produced some lovely does that have done quite well in the show ring
and in the milk bucket. At her young age, Phillipia was consistently
taking her class as a junior but then could not contend with the
older does in the lineups. She levels out when walking around the
show ring. I am excited to see the udder that she will develop from
her mom and Starbuck. She is bred to Poptart.
Phillipia has been the biggest
surprise this spring. Each day that she gets on the milk stand
there is more that I like about her. She is another Starbuck
daughter with a strong mammary system. She also is a long bodied
doe. She will be a doe to watch in the future.

our lineup. He will probably be not used this year but exhibits
some strong characteristics from Starbuck of being a taller
buckling. Rhiesling is out of Rhone who

outstanding doe.
